Holding a master of health management systems from Duquesne University, Rocky Paiano is a technical data engineer living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rocky Paiano participates in the Boulder Startup Week (BSW) event to stay engaged with startup leaders and professionals.
A volunteer-run organization, BSW aims to bring together entrepreneurs and people engaged in the startup world in an educational, inclusive, and engaging series of events. So far, there have been over 200 events hosted by industry experts, with more than 30 different tracks including topics such as arts and investing. BSW is produced by a Colorado-based community movement called Glider, which has also created WILD Council, TEDxBoulder, Boulder Tech Podcast, and Ignite Boulder. Each year, Glider produces up to seven BSW legacy events, including a job fair, Founder Fights, Boomtown Demo Day, and Startup Crawl.
Between May 10 and May 14, BSW 2021 presented its annual event, which was online and, for the first time, free for the entrepreneurial community. Conferences included "Being Resilient in the Midst of Change, Growth, and Uncertainty," led by Tara Powers from the Powers Resource Center LLC, and "Technology Steers the Economy - Preparing for the Data Age," an event that included several industry panelists, Governor Jared Polis, and Tom Snyder, executive director of RIoT.
